PERMITS
GARAGE SALE PERMITS
Before you have your garage sale, make sure you comply with City Ordinance (Chapter 4, Sections 4.03.001-4.03.033)regulating these sales.

Obtain a permit from the City (City Hall located at 1605 Edgecliff Rd.) for $10.00.

Property owners may hold 2 garage sales per calendar year and may last up to three (3) consecutive calendar days.

NO REFUNDS OF A GARAGE SALE PERMIT FEE SHALL BE PERMITTED FOR ANY REASON.

Signs exceeding four (4) sq. ft. may NOT be posted following issuance of the permit. NO SIGNS SHALL BE PERMITTED ON UTILITY POLES OR PUBLIC PROPERTY INCLUDING STREET RIGHT OF WAYS. NO SIGNS ARE PERMITTED ON CROWLEY ROAD. It is violation of State Law (Chapter 392 and 393, Transportation Code) to place signs in the right-of-way of a Highway. Signs may be posted a maximum of two (2) days prior to the garage sale and shall be removed within twenty-four (24) hours following the last day of the sale. The City will remove any illegally placed signs and throw them away without notice to the owner. With permission from the owner, signs may be placed on private property.

Permit may be revoked if, in the opinion of the Code Enforcement Officer or a Peace Officer, the safety and welfare of the general public would be jeopardized if the sale is allowed to continue.
SOLICITOR'S PERMITS
Anyone soliciting within the city limits of Edgecliff is REQUIRED to obtain a solicitor's permit. All applicants for a Solicitor's Permit must come by City Hall to complete an application. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be required. Payment must be made by cash, check or money order.
BUILDING PERMITS
Anyone Building in the City of Edgecliff is REQUIRED to Register with our city and submit an application for each of the following: Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fence (even if replacing just a panel on the fence) and Driveway Approach/Curb-cut.
